“Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Orchestras” is sponsored by the Symphony Young Professionals of the Richmond Symphony Orchestra League. In this second of three evening “conversations,” Steven Smith will give a behind-the-scenes look at how orchestras function and provide an overview on the instruments, procedures, and concert traditions. Designed as informal, fun, and informative 90-minute sessions that include wine and cheese, Smith will lead the conversation, but will also encourage participants to ask questions, make comments, and join in the discussion.
